Where It All Began
In this earlier work James was exploring a more gritty aesthetic inspired by some of the masters of Black and White portrait, war, and street photography.
James now mostly works in colour, and while his style and technique continue to evolve, strangers in the streets and their humanity consistently remain his inspiration and subject.
